Utility Rescue Holdings, Inc., today announced that its Texas retail electric provider brand, Juice, has introduced new time-of-use plans for residential customers in the ERCOT market
Following the brand's blended energy and fruit motif, the new rate plan is called "KiwiSurge" and is offered for 12 to 36 month terms. "The energy plan features peak and off-peak pricing for Texas residential customers, allowing them to lower their overall costs by reducing their usage during the peak times of the day. The 'Surge', or peak period, is from 1:00 PM to 6:59 PM every day, with the 'Save', or off-peak periods, represented by the other 18 hours," Juice said
In the Oncor service area, Juice's 12-month fixed rate KiwiSurge plan has an average all-in rate, at 1,000 kWh, of 11.7¢ per kWh, which reflects an Energy Charge (Surge) of $0.1149 per kWh for the period 1:00 PM to 6:59 PM daily, an Energy Charge (Save) of $0.0619 per kWh for all other times, and TDU charges of $0.044076 per kWh and $3.42 per billing cycle. The average price calculation is based on a consumption profile over 12 months assuming 15.0% of consumption occurs during the peak energy (Surge) charge period defined above. An early termination fee of $20.00 per month remaining in the initial term applies
