ISO New England Reports Prices From 2026/2027 Capacity Auction

The ISO New England Forward Capacity Market (FCA 17) for the 2026-27 term cleared at a preliminary price of $2.590 per kilowatt-month (kW-month) in all zones and import interfaces except the New Brunswick interface, which cleared at $2.551 per kW-month.

For comparison, the 2025-26 preliminary clearing prices from last year's FCA (FCA 16) had been as follows:

2025-26

SENE: $2.639 kW-month

Rest-of-Pool: $2.591 kW-month

NNE and Maine: $2.531 kW-month

The total value of the capacity market in 2026/2027 will be approximately $946 million (preliminary estimate). The 2026/2027 auction secured capacity commitments of 31,370 megawatts (MW)
