The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed residential and commercial PTCDefault rates, under Rider H, with the Pennsylvania PUC for the six-month period starting June 1, 2023

Commercial Rates

At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.10679 per kWh effective June 1, a 23% increase versus the current $0.08679 per kWh

At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.11037 per kWh effective June 1, a 20% increase versus the $0.09161 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.12890 per kWh effective June 1, a 19% increase versus the current $0.10818 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTCDefault rate will be $0.10959 per kWh effective June 1, a 45% increase versus the current $0.07529 per kWh

Residential Rates

At Met-Ed, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.10240 per kWh effective June 1, a 2.5% increase versus the current $0.09991 per kWh

At Penelec, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.09703 per kWh effective June 1, a 1.5% increase versus the $0.09561 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.10556 per kWh effective June 1, a 1.1% increase versus the current $0.10439 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed residential PTCDefault rate will be $0.09929 per kWh effective June 1, a 20% increase versus the current $0.08228 per kWh

All of the new PTCDefault rates described above are to be in effect for the six-month period June 1, 2023 through November 30, 2023, as the FirstEnergy Pennsylvania EDCs transition away from quarterly rate changes, as previously reported
