Utility Files To Nearly Double Purchase Of Receivables Discount Rate

Washington Gas Light in Maryland has filed proposed updates to its purchase of receivables (POR) discount rates, to be effective with the June 2023 billing cycle
For residential accounts, WGL proposes to set the POR discount at 1.9297%, versus the current 1.0511%
The largest driver for the change in the residential discount is the reconciliation factor, which is proposed to be set at 1.2423%
For non-residential accounts, WGL proposes to continue the current 0% discount rate
