BGE Residential Generation Rate Increasing 22% In October, Small C&I Increasing 17%

Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed in Maryland updates to the bypassable Energy Rate under SOS for the period Oct. 1, 2023 - May 31, 2024

Additionally, BGE has filed updates to the SOS Admin Charge which is included in the Total Generation Rate under SOS (the total bypassable rate also includes transmission and Rider 8 reconciliation). Both the June and October BGE Total Generation Rates listed below reflect the update to the SOS Admin Charge

For Rate R residential customers, BGE's Total Generation Rate will increase 22% to 10.290¢/kWh effective October 1, from the summer rate of 8.444¢/kWh (which takes effect June 1)

For Rate G Type I SOS customers, BGE's Total Generation Rate will increase 17% to 9.693¢/kWh effective October 1, from the summer rate of 8.319¢/kWh (which takes effect June 1)
