Duquesne Light Small Commercial Price To Compare Increasing Nearly 10% On June 1

Duquesne Light filed with the Pennsylvania PUC an update to its bypassable Transmission Service Charges which, when combined with previously filed and reported new Default Service Supply Rates, allows the computation of the price to compare for the period beginning June 1.

For RS residential customers, the summation of the new Default Service Supply Rate and the new Transmission Service Charge results in a price to compare of 11.4470 cents per kWh effective June 1, which is marginally higher than the current PTC of 11.25 cents per kWh (the official PTC is only listed to two decimals, though each component in the tariff is listed to four decimals)

For GS customers, the summation of the new Default Service Supply Rate and the new Transmission Service Charge results in a price to compare of 11.0282 cents per kWh effective June 1, which is nearly 9% higher than the current PTC of 10.16 cents per kWh (the official PTC is only listed to two decimals, though each component in the tariff is listed to four decimals)

For RS and GS customers, the new PTCs are to be in effect for the period June 1, 2023 through November 30, 2023.

Official prices to compare for the period beginning June 1, 2023 have not yet been posted. The TSCs for most other C&I classes include demand charges in addition to a volumetric per kWh rate
