Multiple Retail Suppliers' Offers Still 15% Below New, Lower Price To Compare

Connecticut Light & Power has filed Standard Service rates for the period July 2023 through December 2023, and Last Resort Service Rates for the period July 2023 through September 2023

The July 2023 through December 2023 CL&P (Eversource) residential (Rate 1) supply rate will be 13.822¢/kWh, which is 42% lower than the current rate of 24.172¢/kWh

The July 2023 rates, and all rates below, include the bypassable Federally Mandated Congestion Charge, which is being updated to a credit of (0.170)¢/kWh in July 2023

As of publication time, there are currently several fixed (and not for an ultra-long duration) residential offers from competitive retail suppliers on CT Energy Info which are still about 15% below the new, lower residential price to compare. Even more suppliers are offering rates about 1¢ below the new PTC (about 6% lower than the new PTC). Residential supplier offers in Connecticut do not include early termination fees. The new CL&P rates were published mid-day today

CL&P small C&I (Rate 30 & 35) Standard Service rates will decrease 38% to 14.264¢/kWh for July 2023 through December 2023, from the current 23.031¢/kWh
