Retail Market Vet Named Chief Commercial Officer For Clean Energy Developer; Other Vets Also Hired

JERA Americas, the Houston-based subsidiary of global energy company JERA, has appointed James Tinsley as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Tinsley joins JERA Americas from his position as Vice President, Natural Gas Supply and Trading for Calpine.
Tinsley also previously served as Director, East Natural Gas Trading and Supply at Direct Energy, and served in several roles at Hess, including Director, Business Development
In his new role, Tinsley will be responsible for all commercial functions for JERA Americas including overseeing commercial development opportunities for existing assets and for future asset portfolios the company may acquire.
JERA Americas is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based JERA, which stands for Japan's Energy for a New Era
JERA Americas has been described as developing clean energy projects such as wind and solar in Texas, hydrogen blending to reduce CO2 emissions at natural gas plants, and looking to repurpose existing infrastructure into clean energy centers that will maintain a reliable supply of energy as well as facilitating the integration of new offshore wind farms and battery storage in the northeast
JERA Americas also made note of several other recent hires
Jason Oliver has been named a Vice President at JERA Americas in its Development group. Oliver previously held various executive roles at Sithe Global Power, LLC, in addition to leadership positions at various private investment companies
Scott Phillips was named as Business Analyst, Commercial and Risk Systems at JERA Americas. Phillips's prior roles include serving as as a Risk Analyst at NRG Energy
LaToya Jordan was named as Manager of Internal Controls at JERA Americas. Jordan previously served as Compliance Assurance Senior Manager and Senior Internal Auditor at Direct Energy. Jordan also previously served as a Senior Internal Auditor at Reliant Energy from 2006-2010
