PSC Approves Nearly 7% POR Discount Rate

The District of Columbia PSC approved updates, as filed without modification, to Washington Gas Light's purchase of receivables (POR) discount rates
For residential customers, the new WGL D.C. POR discount is 6.897%, versus the previous discount of 3.121%
The new residential discount includes, among other components, a 2.660% bad debt component (up from 0.951% in the prior rate), and a 2.649% reconciliation component (up from 0.496% in the prior rate)
For non-residential accounts, WGL set the D.C. POR discount at 0.809%, versus the prior 0.814%
The new POR discounts are effective upon publication of a
Notice of Final Tariff in the D.C. Register.
