Texas REPs' Shares Of Low-Income Matching List Cost To Be Set

Texas PUC Staff have issued a proposed allocation of costs to retail electric providers electing to participate in the matching process to receive a list of their low-income customers for the next fiscal year (fiscal year beginning on September 1, 2023.)

The list is only produced in an upcoming fiscal year if at least one REP requests the list by July 31

Twenty-three REPs and Entergy Texas filed requests for the low-income customer list in project 54854 prior to July 31, 2023.

The cost for providing the matching process is $60,000 annually. TXU and NRG each agreed to contribute $20,000 each towards the cost of the annual matching process.

The final $20,000 will be split evenly among the remaining REPs and Entergy Texas.

Based on the number of entities seeking the lists, the remaining $20,000 cost allocation to each REP would be $2,000 per REP, as noted below:
