Retail Supplier Selected For Solar Installations At Providence Port Facility

ProvPort, the operator of the deep-water port facility at Providence, RI, and Gridwealth, a commercial-scale solar developer, owner, and operator whose other businesses includes retail energy supply, announced a partnership to develop 1.7 megawatts (MW) of solar power on the vacant rooftops of industrial buildings at the port

The solar equipment will be installed on two separate buildings at ProvPort. When complete, the combined projects will consist of 4,000 solar photovoltaic panels and occupy approximately 200,000 square feet of industrial rooftop space

Construction is expected to start this fall.
