Duquesne Light Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rates Falling 10%

Duquesne Light filed with the Pennsylvania PUC the default service supply rates for the periods beginning December 1, 2023
The default service supply rate, or supply charge, reflects generation supply only, unlike the official Prices to Compare which also reflect transmission and the state tax adjustment surcharge. An official new PTC has not yet been posted
For residential customers (Rate Schedules RS, RH and RA) the standard Duquesne Light default supply charge will be 8.2038 cents per kWh for the period December 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024, which is more than 10% lower than the current charge of 9.1956 cents per kWh
For Small Commercial and Industrial customers (Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH under 25 kW) the standard Duquesne Light default supply charge will be 8.6296 cents per kWh for the period December 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024, which is 10% lower than the current charge of 9.6123 cents per kWh
The standard supply charge for Medium Commercial & Industrial customers (25-200 kW, Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH) at Duquesne Light will be 9.1490 cents per kWh for the period December 1, 2023 through February 29, 2024, which is about 40% higher than the current charge of 6.6030 cents per kWh
