NSTAR East Residential, Small C&I Default Service Rates Increasing 7%-10%

NSTAR d/b/a Eversource Energy filed with the Massachusetts DPU new basic service electricity rates for its Eastern Massachusetts service territory, for the period beginning January 1, 2024
All prices below include the currently effective Basic Service Adders, Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative
Energy Portfolio Standard, Clean Energy Standard Adders, and Clean Peak Standard Adders. These adders, subject to future approval and issuance of a DPU order, typically change on or about January 1.
The filed new Nstar East fixed residential basic service rate for the period January 1, 2024 through July 31, 2024, using currently effective adders, is 17.251¢/kWh, which is about 7% higher than the current rate of 16.078¢/kWh
The filed new Nstar East fixed small C&I basic service rate for the period January 1, 2024 through July 31, 2024, using currently effective adders, is 17.587¢/kWh, which is about 10% higher than the current rate of 15.899¢/kWh
