The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

kilowant.com said that it is set to launch its AI-powered retail energy shopping platform for residential and commercial customers and is approaching a v1.0 release set for early 2024

"kilowant.com simplifies and transforms the retail energy transaction process by introducing artificial intelligence. The platform allows users to create profiles, utilizing predefined algorithms to match them with the most suitable energy provider. This not only finds the lowest prices but also automates the search, sourcing, and signup processes, offering consumers a seamless and cost-effective way to buy energy continuously," the company said

kilowant's creation had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com last year (more background here)

kilowant.com was founded by James Grasso, who has nearly 30 years in the competitive energy industry. Grasso previously founded SilentSherpa after tours with Providence Energy, Southern Company, and Enermetrix.com.

"kilowant eliminates the transactional friction and associated cost of a broker or aggregator, and directly connects the buyer and seller," Grasso said

Currently in its beta stage, kilowant.com is now available in the Rhode Island Energy service territory and is inviting users to experience the service.

kilowant states on its website, "kilowant.com is the nation's first AI-driven matchmaking application for buyers and sellers of energy supply. Our cloud-based application solves for the lowest available buy and sell-offers on an around-the-clock basis, so neither the buyer or seller have to spend any time sourcing, filtering, or evaluating their best match. By intelligently automating connection, choice, and contracting kilowant eliminates the cost of sales, marketing, and transaction for the seller ... which results in a better, faster and cheaper supply procurement experience for the buyer. It's like a dating app for your energy supply that also schedules your date, makes the reservation, and if it's meant to be...even reminds you of your anniversary."

"Kilowant matches buyers and sellers based on their respective account profiles... e.g. desired service period, service location, usage profile, etc. Once a match is made, kilowant intelligently identifies the buyer's next available service period and streams a variety of only the lowest priced seller offerings available to the buyer for acceptance. Conversely, buyers can submit offers to purchase energy at a defined price and service period which are streamed to sellers for acceptance. By funneling the best of the best offers, kilowant offers both sides of the market 'energy at the price you want,'" kilowant states on its website

"There is no direct fee assessed to the buyer user. Seller users are billed for their use of the kilowant network. At the seller's discretion, a portion of this cost may be included in their seller offers. All fees associated with use of kilowant are included in the price of energy supply," kilowant states on its website

"Additional utility test markets will be selected in 2024," kilowant states on its website
