Start-up Alchemy Muse Inc. submitted an application for a Texas retail electric provider certificate

Beyond a cover letter, none of Alchemy Muse Inc.'s REP application was available as of publication time, but the cover letter suggests that the company is seeking status as an Option 2 REP. Option 2 REPs are limited to serving customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service

Shijian Xu is CEO of Alchemy Muse Inc. and is the only director of the corporation listed on a Texas Secretary of State registration

Alchemy Muse's website states, "Welcome aboard the retail energy transition," and lists services and offerings as including or addressing: smart grid, renewable energy, energy storage, cogeneration (CHP), virtual power plant (VPP), load balancing, energy arbitrage, energy blockchain, demand response, demand-side management (DSN), carbon footprint, and decarbonization

Concerning smart grid, the site states, "An electricity supply network that uses digital communications technology to detect and react to local changes in usage, enhancing efficiency and reliability."

"Energize your business with the future of power: Our industrial electricity solutions harness cutting-edge technology to deliver reliable, efficient, and smart energy that propels your operations into the next era of productivity," the site states
