The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Rushmore Energy, LLC has filed to relinquish its Option I Texas REP certificate

Rushmore Energy provided the following statement to EnergyChoiceMatters.com:

"Rushmore Energy has decided to not renew our Texas PUC license at this time, and focus on continuing to serve our current customers in all the other states where we have been active for almost a decade."

--- Statement from Rushmore Energy

The above reference to a renewal is presumed to mean the one-time compliance update existing REPs were required to undertake to come into compliance with recent revisions to the certification rules under §25.107, with the deadline for existing REPs March 5, 2024

Rushmore Energy received its Texas REP certificate in April 2023. Filings by Rushmore Energy indicate that it did not serve customers in Texas in 2023
