EnergyChoiceMatters.com typically sends a daily digest of the day's retail energy headlines each business day, and breaking news alerts as they happen. Please note you may receive two or more emails per day by signing up for these alerts

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

To prevent against the transmittal of emails to individuals who do not wish to receive our alerts, we DO NOT allow group or department-wide email addresses to sign up for our alerts, such as "marketing@xyzenergy.com" or "newsletters@xyzenergy.com". Use of these group email addresses may result in our emails being transmitted to recipients who do not wish to receive our emails, and who may mark our email as "spam". This, in turn, hurts our ability to deliver our emails to individuals who have signed up and want to receive our emails, including you. If you think your colleagues should be receiving our email, we encourage you to share a single example with an explanatory note from yourself and encourage them to sign up for themselves if interested, by directing them to this page.

For the same reason, we ask that you not set up any rule or mechanism that automatically forwards all of the email alerts we send to your address to any other addresses. The recipients to whom you forward our emails to may not wish to receive the emails, and may mark our email as "spam" (even though we are not sending it to them ourselves). This, in turn, hurts our ability to deliver our emails to individuals who have signed up and want to receive our emails, including you. If you think your colleagues should be receiving our emails, we encourage you to share a single example with an explanatory note from yourself and encourage them to sign up for themselves if interested, by directing them to this page.

Although our automated sign-up system will allow group email addressees to be subscribed, we will manually remove any and all such email addresses if added

Additionally, we strive to ensure that everyone who wishes to receive our emails is able to receive them. For this reason, we reserve the right to remove, at any time, any "problem" email addresses whose inclusion on our list may hinder our delivery rate. This includes, but is not limited to, removing addresses/domains which have a high probability or history of marking our emails as spam, removing addresses which "bounce" (soft or hard) for any reason, even if the address is still valid and active, removing addresses which return as undeliverable, and removing addresses which indicate their mailbox is full

If you stop working at a company, or you change your email address, please unsubscribe your old address, using the unsubscribe link in our emails. Since we only email recipients who complete a double opt-in process, a top source of "spam" complaints for our emails is the transmission of emails to defunct email addresses, which are delivered to another person's email address and inbox (e.g. a colleague taking over your emails during a transition after you leave a company). These individuals may not realize the emails are being sent to a former colleague, and may assume we are sending to their own address unsolicited emails, and, as a result, may mark our emails as spam. This, in turn, hurts our ability to deliver our emails to individuals who have signed up and want to receive our emails, including you. As a courtesy to others (and to ensure future deliverability if you want to sign up at your new job), please unsubscribe your old email address when you leave a job or if your email address changes for any reason

If you previously signed up for our email alerts, and stopped receiving them (and not because of a change in address), it is likely our emails to you were being marked as undeliverable (due to erroneously being marked as spam) and therefore your address was removed from our list, or because the email was otherwise blocked by your network or internet service provider.

In either case, if you previously signed up for our email alerts, and stopped receiving them (and not because of a change in address), we strongly encourage you to undertake the "whitelisting" and other actions below before signing up for our email alerts. As noted above, to the extent our emails to you are marked as undeliverable (for which there is a high probability if you previously stopped receiving our emails), we will remove your address from our list so that our emails are not erroneously marked as spam.

How To Ensure Our Emails Are Delivered To You:

• Add the email address paulring@energychoicematterz.com, from which we send our email alerts, to your address book in your email client or service (e.g. outlook, etc.). Please note this email address is only used to send automated emails, and you should not reply to or send correspondence to this email address.

• Share with your IT department the link http://mailchimp.com/about/ips and ask them to complete the whitelisting process described at that link. Please note that the whitelisting information may change from time to time, and you may need to have your IT department update the information

We require a first and last name when signing up to increase deliverability of our emails. We reserve the right to remove sign ups which do not have legitimate names or which have names which do not match the email address.

We do not share our subscriber lists with any third parties, except where compelled by a court of competent jurisdiction or regulatory agency

Our email alerts may contain advertisements along with their content. However, we do not send out emails that function solely as advertisements.

When signing up, you will need to complete a process to confirm your email address, as will be described in the following webpage and confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email (sent instantaneously upon sign-up), please check your spam or junk folder. If the confirmation email message is not there, it is possible that our emails are being blocked by your network or internet service provider. Please follow the directions under "How To Ensure Our Emails Are Delivered To You" listed above, and, once these steps are completed, try signing up again. We apologize for any inconvenience

By signing up below, you warrant that you have read all of the text above, and that you understand and consent to the receipt of email alerts from EnergyChoiceMatters.com, which may include the receipt of two or more emails per day, as breaking news dictates.
