Nearly 5,000 Residential Customers Migrate to Competitive Supply at PECO in Past Week

A net of nearly 5,000 new residential customers migrated to a competitive electric supplier at PECO during the past week, according to the most recent statistics from the Pennsylvania PUC

Matters has also compiled a comparison of the migration levels from the 4/13/11 Report versus the 4/6/11 Report, as well as comparing the rate of migration in each of the past two weeks.

At PECO, new residential migration during the most recent week (April 5 through April 12) was 4,770 on a net basis, down from 6,696 accounts a week ago.

At PPL, weekly net residential migration was a gain of 1,223 accounts, versus a gain of 2,160 a week ago.

At Duquesne Light, weekly net residential migration was a gain of 2,449 accounts, up from a gain of 1,307 a week ago. Residential migration at Duquesne Light has officially crossed a quarter of all residential customers, now standing at 25.1%.

In the most recent week, Penelec saw 2,535 new residential shoppers, versus net growth of 1,280 two weeks ago.
