NextEra Energy Services Seeks Amendment to Illinois License, Residential Service Likely

NextEra Energy Services Illinois, LLC has filed for an amendment to its Illinois alternative retail electric supplier license. A copy of the application was not immediately available. However, NextEra is already authorized to serve non-residential customers with usage above 15,000 kWh at both ComEd and Ameren. Additionally, as only noted in Matters, NextEra has expanded into the residential market in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and the District of Columbia (4/11), and similar action in Illinois is likely.


Viridian Energy Receives Ohio Gas License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Viridian Energy NJ LLC a natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas (4/13).


Chicago Power Company.com Seeks ABC License

Chicago Power Company.com LLC has applied for an Illinois electric agent, broker, and consultant license.


Health Trust Purchasing Group Seeks D. C. Broker License

Health Trust Purchasing Group L.P. applied for electric and natural gas aggregator/broker licenses in the District of Columbia to serve commercial and industrial customers.
