Reliant Energy Receives Authority to Serve Residential Customers in Pennsylvania, Seeks Connecticut License for All Classes

Reliant Energy Northeast LLC has applied for a Connecticut electric supplier license to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

The Pennsylvania PUC also granted Reliant Energy an amended electric generation supplier license to serve residential and small commercial (< 25 kW) customers in all service areas.

Reliant's intent to actively market to residential customers in Pennsylvania was first reported in Matters (3/25).

Expanding from its Texas mass market base, Reliant now has authority to serve residential customers in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia (see 5/9).
