SCANA Energy Marketing Receives Approval for Georgia Prepaid Product

The Georgia PSC approved several waiver requests to allow SCANA Energy Marketing, Inc. to offer a prepaid product for natural gas service.

SCANA Energy's application to offer prepaid service was first reported by Matters (see 3/18).

Specifically, the PSC granted waivers of Commission Rules 515-3-3-.01(e), 515-7-6-.02(a)(3)&(4)b,c,d,&e, 515-3-3-.02(B), and 515-3-3-.04(a)&(b), for those customers taking prepaid service.

Under SCANA Energy's prepay program, SCANA Energy will notify customers that they could be shut-off for non-payment within 25 days of the date the bill is mailed to the customer.
