Met-Ed Prices to Compare Increase Effective September 1

Met-Ed has posted updated Prices to Compare for the three-month period beginning September 1, representing an increase over current rates.

The Prices to Compare (in cents per kWh) below reflect a State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (STAS) of 0.12%.

Met-Ed Price to Compare, effective Sept. 1:
Residential (RS): 9.100

Residential Time-of-Day (RT): 9.100

General Secondary – Non Demand Metered (GS-Small): 9.606

General Secondary - Volunteer Fire Company: 9.100

General Secondary - Volunteer Fire Company Time of Day: 9.100

General Secondary – Demand Metered (GS-Medium): 9.606

Municipal Service (MS): 9.606

The new rates represent an increase for all rates classes. The most recent RS Price to Compare was 8.243 cents per kWh, and the prior GS-Small and GS-Medium Price to Compare was 8.919 cents per kWh.
