Penelec Residential Price to Compare Increases September 1

Penelec has posted updated Prices to Compare for the three-month period beginning September 1, with an increase in residential rates but small decrease in commercial rates.

The Prices to Compare (in cents per kWh) below reflect a State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (STAS) of 0.01%.

Penelec Price to Compare, effective Sept. 1:
Residential (RS): 7.624

Residential Time-of-Day (RT): 7.624

General Secondary – Non Demand Metered (GS-Small): 7.745

General Secondary - Volunteer Fire Company: 7.624

General Secondary - Volunteer Fire Company Time of Day: 7.624

General Secondary – Demand Metered (GS-Medium): 7.745

All-Electric School, Church or Hospital (H): 7.745

The immediately prior RS Price to Compare was 6.991 cents per kWh. The immediately Prior GS-Small and GS-Medium Price to Compare was 7.815 cents per kWh.
