Viridian Energy NJ Seeks to Change Ohio-Certified Name to Cincinnati Bell Energy

Viridian Energy NJ LLC has filed at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to change the name on its natural gas supplier certificate to Cincinnati Bell Energy LLC. Viridian currently offers electric service under a partnership with Cincinnati Bell, and Cincinnati Bell has indicated a desire to expand to natural gas. Viridian Energy NJ LLC is currently authorized to serve customers in all service areas. As previously reported (9/12), a separate entity, Viridian Energy NG LLC, recently applied for an Ohio natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes at Dominion East Ohio, Columbia Gas, and Vectren Energy Delivery (and not Duke Energy Ohio, which primarily overlaps with Cincinnati Bell's territory)


Smart One Energy Receives Maryland License

The Maryland PSC granted Smart One Energy, LLC a natural gas supplier license to serve residential customers at BGE, WGL, and Columbia. Smart One Energy offers electricity and natural gas in New York.


AP Gas & Electric Receives Maryland License

The Maryland PSC granted AP Gas & Electric (MD), LLC d/b/a APG&E an electric supplier license to serve all customer classes. The principals of AP Gas & Electric are principals of the entity formerly known as Affordable Power.


Kansas Energy Withdraws Texas REP Application

Kansas Energy LLC withdrew its application for a Texas REP certificate (8/31).
