Delmarva Power Residential, Commercial SOS Rates To Fall

This story was updated on July 7 to reflect a July 6 Delmarva filing which said that its previously filed tariffs inadvertently switched the rates for the Type I Small General Services SGS-S and Type I Space Heating SGS-S classes. The corrected rates are shown below

Delmarva Power has filed with the Maryland PSC new residential and Type I SOS rates for the period beginning October 1, 2016, and new Type II SOS rates for the period beginning June 1, 2016.

The new October 1, 2016 mass market rates are lower than the rates from the year-ago period, as well as the upcoming June 1, 2016 rates. For example, the new October 1, 2016 Residential-R Supply, Capacity, Energy and Ancillary Rate is about 11% lower than the October 1, 2015 rate, and 8% lower than the rate that is to take effect on June 1, 2016

The Delmarva-MD rates below, in cents per kWh, reflect only the energy component of SOS, and not transmission or reconciliations.
