Ace Power Receives Texas REP Certificate
The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted Ace Power, LLC d/b/a REP ACE Power, LLC an Option 2 REP certificate to serve customers 1 MW or larger who provide an affidavit agreeing to such service. The company is a subsidiary of Apex Clean Energy, Inc., a developer of utility-scale wind and solar projects. Earlier this year, the U.S. Army signed a power purchase agreement with Apex Clean Energy for a hybrid wind and solar energy project consisting of 65.8 MW of electricity from a combination of large-scale renewable energy solar and wind facilities to serve 40 percent of Fort Hood's electricity needs (click here for story).
