Utility Provides Update For Cost of Purchase of Receivables Implementation
Washington Gas Light has filed with the District of Columbia PSC an updated estimate for the cost to implement purchase of receivables
The D.C. last year opened a proceeding to formally consider the introduction of POR at WGL (see story here)
WGL stated that it has been in consultation with an outside vendor to assess the requirements and costs of implementing a POR program with the company's new customer relationship and mobile work management system.
"Although the specifics of a District of Columbia POR Program have not yet been established in this proceeding, assuming the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia adopts a POR Program similar to the POR Program approved in Maryland, the Company estimates that total implementation costs will range from $600,000 to $800,000," WGL said
"This estimate includes costs associated with configuration, development and unit testing, updating configuration documentation, testing and cut-over, as well as Washington Gas resources needed to consummate implementation of the program," WGL said
