As previously reported, per the order in Docket No. 46050, AEP Texas filed for a merger savings credit Monday, February 26, 2018 in PUCT Docket No. 48110. In its application, AEP Texas proposed to refund the savings stemming from lower debt issuance costs.

The SAC Code on the 810 invoice will be RRR008 and the Charge Description will be listed as MERGER SAVINGS CREDIT.

The AEP Texas merger savings credit is intended to refund savings for its central division and north division related to lower debt issuance savings achieved from the AEP Texas merger approved in Docket No. 46050 – Application of AEP Texas Central Company, AEP Texas North Company, and AEP Utilities, Inc. for Approval of Merger.

Interim rates were approved effective Tuesday, August 28, 2018 that authorize AEP Texas to begin charging the rates in the Merger Savings Credit Rider beginning with the first billing cycle in September. It is anticipated that the final rates will receive approval by the Commission at a future open meeting.
