The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Oncor has filed an unopposed stipulation with the Public Utility Commission of Texas to reflect reduced federal tax rates, and associated changes, in its base distribution rates applicable to retail electric providers, to be effective October 8, 2018

The proposed new delivery rates under the stipulation are below for select classes. Parties have agreed to implement the proposed amounts as interim rates, effective October 8, 2018, to the extent final approval is not granted by such date.

The stipulated rates are lower than those originally proposed by Oncor (to see Oncor's originally proposed reduction in rates, see our prior story)

Residential Service
                 Current 10/8/18
Customer Charge $0.89 $0.90
Metering Charge $2.60 $2.52
Transmission $0.00/kWh $0.00/kWh
Distribution $0.021141/kWh $0.019841/kWh

Secondary Less Than or Equal to 10 kW
                 Current 10/8/18
Customer Charge $2.03 $2.05
Metering Charge $6.19 $6.07
Transmission $0.00/kWh $0.00/kWh
Distribution $0.022625/kWh $0.021482/kWh

For additional rate classes, see proposed tariff filings here

The stipulation also provides that the exclusion of the six neighborhood reliability lithium-ion batteries from the prudence finding in Finding of Fact No. 36 of the final order in Docket No. 469572 is not affected by the approval of Oncor's rates in the instant proceeding. Consistent with that finding of fact, Oncor may seek and other parties may challenge, a prudence finding related to these batteries in a future proceeding.

Docket 48325
