The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Budderfly, Inc., a provider of Energy Efficiency-as-a-Service solutions which as previously reported recently began referring customers to a selected retail energy supplier, has sought broker or similar licenses in addition states

See background on Budderfly in our prior story here

Budderfly, Inc. applied for a Texas electric aggregator certificate to serve commercial and industrial customers

In its Texas application, Budderfly said, "As part of and incidental to [its] managed energy services, Budderfly currently intends to place eligible customer accounts within Texas with Direct Energy. Budderfly currently intends to place eligible customer accounts within Illinois with Direct Energy for quotes on competitive energy supply, and where the quoted rates represent sufficient savings, Budderfly intends to enter into supply agreements with Direct Energy. Budderfly currently intends to deal only with Direct Energy, in order to take advantage of better pricing and commission terms as a result of the volume of business, and to assure that sufficient resources and attention will be available from Direct Energy. However, Budderfly is not committed by contract to deal only with Direct Energy and may in the future use the services of a third-party broker to seek multiple quotes for competitive supply or may do the same using Budderfly's own staff."

Budderfly also applied for an Ohio electric broker/aggregator license to serve all types of non-residential customers

Budderfly said in its Ohio application, "In order to help achieve rate reductions, Budderfly currently intends to place eligible accounts within Ohio with Direct Energy for quotes on competitive energy supply, and where the quoted rates represent sufficient savings, Budderfly intends to enter into supply agreements with Direct Energy.
