Texas Broker Withdraws Filing To Use Assumed Names Containing Term "Tesla"

SetMeUpEnergy Services, LLC d/b/a SetMeUpPower filed at the Texas PUC a filing to withdraw its prior filing that sought to add various assumed names containing the term "Tesla" to the company's broker registration.
SetMeUpEnergy Services said in a filing that, "Please accept this letter as confirmation of abandonment of the assumed names listed below regarding the item number referenced above. The assumed name(s) below were DENIED from the PUCTX in the amendment filing, however we are sending in this formal correspondence as confirmation we have also abandoned those names with the SOS of TX."
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, The assumed names being withdrawn by SetMeUpEnergy Services were: "Tesla Power Texas"; "Tesla Power"; "Tesla Power TX"; and "Tesla Energy."
As previously reported, Tesla, Inc. had filed at the Public Utility Commission of Texas an objection to the use of the trade names "Tesla Power Texas", "Tesla Power", "Tesla Power TX", and "Tesla Energy" by electricity broker SetMeUpEnergy Services, LLC
As was exclusively first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com on August 16, Tesla Energy Ventures, LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tesla Energy Operations, Inc., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tesla, Inc. (the electric vehicle manufacturer and clean energy company), applied for an Option 1 Texas retail electric provider certificate. In such REP application, which is pending before the PUC, Tesla Energy Ventures sought to use the trade name "Tesla."
