Texas PUC Grants REP Authority To Use Trade Name Shell Energy Solutions

The Public Utility Commission of Texas granted
MP2 Energy Texas LLC, a Shell Energy North America subsidiary, an amendment to its Option 1 Texas retail electric provider certificate to reflect the use of a new assumed name, "Shell Energy Solutions", and to add such name to the REP certificate
The Texas application for use of the Shell name brand had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Shell recently announced that its various MP2 Energy retail suppliers, across various markets, will now go to market for commercial customers in the U.S. as Shell Energy, "in a move demonstrating strong customer focus and signaling the strength of one energy brand dedicated to serving customers’ complete energy transition needs."
