The FirstEnergy Pennsylvania utilities have filed new tariffed PTC-Default rates with the Pennsylvania PUC for the three-month period starting December 1, 2022

The PTC-Default rates are the all-in default service rates without the application of the State Tax Adjustment Surcharge (essentially, the PTC prior to application of the STAS), which is currently 0%. The utilities have not yet posted new official PTCs; the tariff filings with the new rates have not yet been approved by the PUC as of publication time

At Met-Ed, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.12567 per kWh effective December 1, a 9% increase versus the current $0.11480 per kWh.

At Penelec, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.10679 per kWh effective December 1, a 2% decrease versus the current $0.10910 per kWh

At Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.12035 per kWh effective December 1, an 8% decrease versus the current $0.13089 per kWh

At West Penn Power, the tariffed commercial PTC-Default rate will be $0.10504 per kWh effective December 1, a 12% increase versus the current $0.09360 per kWh

All of the new PTC-Default rates for the FirstEnergy Pennsylvania EDCs are to be in effect for the period December 1, 2022 through February 28, 2023
