Duquesne Light Default Supply Rate Increasing 15% For Residential Customers, 10% For Small Commercial
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Duquesne Light has filed with the Pennsylvania PUC an update to the default service supply rate, or supply charge, to be effective for various periods starting June 1, 2025
The supply charge does not comprise the entire Price to Compare, as the supply charge does not include transmission or the state tax adjustment surcharge
All rates below are for the standard supply charge for each customer type, and do not reflect optional TOU supply rates.
As filed, Duquesne Light's supply charge for residential (RS) customers is to jump by over 15% to 9.7093 cents per kWh for the period June 1, 2025, through November 30, 2025, from the current 8.4472 cents per kWh
For small commercial and industrial customers (including Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH under 25 kW), the Duquesne Light supply charge is to increase by about 10% to 8.4471 cents per kWh for the period June 1, 2025, through November 30, 2025, from the current 7.7009 cents per kWh
For medium C&I customers (including Rates GS/GM and GMH between 25 and 200 kW), Duquesne Light's supply charge is to be 10.1028 cents per kWh for the period June 1, 2025, through August 31, 2025, nearly double the current 5.4990 cents per kWh
