Broker Acquires Energy Procurement & Management Consultant

TPI Efficiency, an energy brokerage and sustainability consulting firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio and a portfolio company of ScaleCo Capital, announced its acquisition of The Utilities Group (TUG), an energy management, procurement, and sustainability consulting company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Both TPI Efficiency and The Utilities Group hold retail energy broker licenses in various states

"Bringing TUG’s Southwest Ohio market presence together with TPI’s operating history in Northeast Ohio allows the combined companies to be a premier provider of energy efficiency and sustainability within the state. The combined entity looks forward to providing efficiency services to TUG’s existing customers and new customers in the Cincinnati and Dayton markets," TPI said
The companies said that the acquisition allows the companies to offer:
• Enhanced service offerings that address every aspect of energy management and sustainability.
• A broader geographic footprint to serve businesses across the Midwest and beyond.
• Increased resources and expertise to navigate the complexities of the energy landscape.
Michael Catanzaro, President of TUG will remain on as President and oversee the company’s Southwest Ohio operations.
