Optimum Spark, Inc. is a newly created entity which is part of internet, cable, and telecom provider Altice, which uses the Optimum brand for its services
Altice serves approximately 4.6 million residential and business customers across 21 states with services including Optimum Fiber Internet, Optimum TV, and Optimum Mobile
Altice has various cable/internet service areas in Texas, including those of the former Suddenlink brand. As of 2023, Altice had over 100 service areas in Texas
In 2022, Suddenlink, as part of Altice, announced plans to build a 100% fiber broadband network to reach homes and businesses that it serves in the Abilene, Amarillo, Bryan-College Station, Lubbock, San Angelo, and Tyler areas.
As of 2022, Suddenlink also operated various retail stores for its services in Texas
In its Texas broker registration, Optimum Spark, Inc. stated that it would be a "reseller of energy plans" and that it would serve residential and commercial customers
Optimum Spark, Inc. is not related to the separate, existing broker Optimum Energy Solutions, LLC
Altice has various cable/internet service areas in various other energy choice states, including New York, where Altice previously operated as Cablevision in New York City and surrounding areas. Altice also has service areas in New Jersey, Connecticut, and parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
