Texas Retail Provider Seeks To Be Relieved Of Non-Volunteer POLR Obligation
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
MidAmerican Energy Services, LLC has petitioned the Texas PUC to be relieved of its current designation as a large service provider (LSP, or non-volunteer POLR) for the 2025-26 term
As previously reported, MidAmerican Energy Services sold its competitive retail electric business to Constellation last year
MidAmerican Energy Services said that it no longer has any Texas customers and, as a result, no longer meets the requirements under 16 TAC § 25.43 (h)(2)(B) to be eligible as a POLR provider.
MidAmerican Energy Services had been designated as a non-volunteer POLR for the medium and large non-residential classes in several service areas
