Texas REP Files To Use Trade Name
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Elevate Energy, LLC filed for an amendment to its Option 1 Texas REP certificate to use the trade name Fanfare Energy
Fanfare Energy is currently a trade name on the REP certificate of MI Texas REP 2, LLC (a white label provider), but, as previously reported, MI Texas REP 2, LLC has filed to remove the trade name Fanfare Energy from the MI Texas REP 2, LLC certificate. Such filing by MI Texas REP 2, LLC remains pending awaiting action by the PUC to grant an amended certificate to remove the trade name Fanfare Energy
Elevate Energy, LLC is ultimately part of Energywell. Other Energywell entities have used the Fanfare name is Northeast markets
Elevate Energy stated in its filing as follows: "Elevate Energy understands that the 'Fanfare Energy' assumed name may not
be added to its REP certificate until it is deleted from the REP certificate of MI Texas REP 2, LLC.
However, Elevate Energy is filing this Amendment to add the 'Fanfare Energy' assumed name
now -- during the pendency of MI Texas REP 2, LLC’s application to withdraw the same name --
in an effort to add this assumed name as quickly as possible following the Commission’s deletion
of the 'Fanfare Energy' assume name from MI Texas REP 2, LLC’s REP certificate."
Elevate Energy, LLC also filed for an amendment to reflect a new direct parent company which doesn't change Elevate Energy, LLC's ultimate parent company and which doesn't change any of its officers, directors, or persons on whom Elevate Energy relies
for managerial or technical expertise.
Elevate Energy, LLC stated, "Elevate Energy has a new direct parent company on account of its
joinder into the credit facility of one of its affiliates. Prior to its joinder into this credit facility,
Elevate Energy’s direct parent company was Energywell Retail Holdings, LLC. Elevate Energy’s
new direct parent company -- Think Energy, LLC -- is simply a different affiliate company within
its same organization. Elevate Energy’s ultimate parent company remains the same, and there is
no change to any of Elevate Energy’s officers, directors, or people on whom Elevate Energy relies
for managerial or technical expertise."
