Sunnova Founder, Former CEO Forms New Retail Energy Broker; Company Also Offers Management Of Home Solar, VPPs For Monthly Subscription

Onvis LLC, a newly formed entity, registered as a Texas retail electricity broker.
William J Berger serves as CEO of Onvis, LLC. Berger previously founded and had served as CEO at Sunnova Energy International Inc.
Jackson Leigh Ventures, L.L.C. is the Managing Member of Onvis LLC. Berger {listed as WM JACKSON BERGER) is, as reported on Jackson Leigh Ventures, L.L.C.'s most recent (2024) Public Information Report filed with the Texas Secretary of State, the only Member of Jackson Leigh Ventures, L.L.C.. Various prior SEC filings indicated that William J. Berger, CEO of Sunnova at the time of such prior SEC filings, "controlled" Jackson Leigh Ventures, LLC
Onvis LLC uses the trade name Otovo.
It was not immediately clear if Onvis LLC has any specific or legal relationship with Otovo, the European platform for home solar and battery installation which also assists customers in selling electricity back to the grid.
However, in June, Berger was nominated to European Otovo's board of directors
The website for Onvis LLC's Otovo brand touts that, "We're the first to combine electricity supply with comprehensive equipment service and grid trading - creating a complete energy solution."
The website for Onvis LLC's Otovo brand states that, "One company for electricity, solar service, and grid trading. No more juggling providers".
EnergyChoiceMatters.com notes that the website for Onvis LLC's Otovo may still be in development or subject to revision regarding its language and/or services. Notably, while Onvis LLC has registered as a broker, certain language on the website for Onvis LLC's Otovo suggests that Onvis LLC's Otovo would serve as the customer's REP.
Concerning services other than retail electricity, the website for Onvis LLC's Otovo brand states that Onvis LLC's Otovo bundles, "real-time equipment monitoring, rapid repairs, dependable power supply and grid rewards into a single, seamless service."

Based on current information on the Onvis LLC Otovo website, which may be subject to change or correction, three subscription levels ($9 to $49 monthly) of monthly services for solar & storage are offered that include services such as solar and battery maintenance, system monitoring, guaranteed response times for service (12-48 hours depending on level), discounted repairs, and grid trading participation. A $99 upfront enrollment fee applies to all such plans.
Home back-up generator service plans are available as an add-on to the above bundles, for an additional monthly cost varying by level, and include generator maintenance and related services. An upfront fee of $449 to $599 applies to the generator plans
Onvis LLC's Otovo website indicates that service is month-to-month with no cancellation fee
Onvis LLC's Otovo website indicates that, "We network your home assets into a Virtual Power Plant".
Onvis LLC's Otovo website further states in an answer to an FAQ, "We're a one-stop energy service company. We supply reliable electricity (REP), maintain your solar panels, batteries and generators (O&M), and help you earn money through grid trading (VPP). One company, one bill, one call for service."
Tonia Meyer serves as VP, Marketing at Onvis, LLC. It could not be immediately confirmed that this is the same individual named Tonia Meyer who previously served as Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing, Inside Sales & Web at Sunnova
Alejandro Padilla serves as Senior Manager, Service Center at Onvis, LLC. It could not be immediately confirmed that this is the same individual named Alejandro Padilla who previously held a variety of roles at Sunnova
