Proposed Allocation To Texas REPs For Cost Of Broadcasting PUC Meetings Suggests REP Has Fallen Below 250,000 Customer Threshold

Staff of the Texas PUC have filed proposed cost allocations to retail electric providers for the cost of broadcasting online PUCT meetings for FY 2026
PURA provides that a retail electric provider that serves more than 250,000 customers shall be subject to such an assessment.
For the FY 2025 assessment (adjudicated in 2024) Green Mountain Energy Company had been among the REPs to which a share of the costs was allocated.
Staff does not include Green Mountain Energy Company in the proposed list of REPs to which the FY 2026 broadcast costs should be allocated.
The removal of Green Mountain Energy Company is the only change in a REP appearing, or not appearing, on the prior FY 2025 assessment versus Staff's proposed FY 2026 assessment.
For those entities subject to the assessment, the specific assessment proposed by Staff is, "allocated among the group
members based on the size of the company," thus providing a relative size metric for such included companies
