AEP Texas Files To Implement New Rider For Refunds To REPs, Specific To TCC Area

AEP Texas has filed to implement a new Transition Charge-3 refund rider, to be provided to REPs, only for those customers in the former AEP Texas Central service area

The refund relates to over-collections for Transition Charge-3, which was charged only to TCC customers

Once approved, AEP Texas expects Rider TC-3 Refund to be in effect for two months

The filed tariff states that, "The refund period will begin with the first cycle of the first full billing month after receiving PUCT approval and is anticipated to last two months."

AEP Texas proposed the following amounts for Rider TC-3 Refund:

Rider TC-3 Charge (Refund)
   TCC Customers

Residential    ($0.001801) per kWh

Commercial and Small Industrial – Energy
        ($0.006599) per kWh

Commercial and Small Industrial – Demand
        ($0.574924) per kW or kVa

Large Industrial – Firm 
        ($0.036290) per kW or kVa

Large Industrial – Non-Firm 
        ($0.409895) per kW or kVa

Standby – Firm 
        ($0.057672) per Daily kW or kVa

Standby – Non-Firm 
        ($0.056396) per Daily kW or kVa

Municipal and Cotton Gin 
        ($0.003926) per kWh

Rider TC-3 shall terminate once the refund of the over-collection is complete
