The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Base Power today formally announced its expansion into the Dallas, Texas area.
Base said that its expansion of its battery-powered home energy model to the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including Dallas, Irving, North Richland Hills, Coppell, and beyond, means that Base's offer is now available to more than seven million Texans statewide.
Base also offers service in Houston and areas surrounding Austin
To support its growth in DFW, Base has opened an office and warehouse in Grapevine and hired over 10 full-time employees locally. The company now has over 200 team members across its Austin headquarters, Bay Area engineering hub, and statewide field operations.
As previously reported, Base markets an all-in-one energy solution that offers retail electric supply and a whole-home backup battery
"Unlike traditional backup systems with steep upfront costs, Base earns revenue by providing services to the grid—enabling Texans to get reliable backup and real savings, starting at just $695 for installation and $19/month," Base said (the retail electric supply rate is separate and not included in the monthly battery cost)
As previously reported, Base has raised over $270 million to drive expansion, and has entered into partnerships with homebuilders such as Lennar
