Texas REP Reports Price Reductions Offered To Existing Customers

Texas residential retail provider BKV Energy said that BKV Energy recently extended reduced-rate offers to its BKV Energy Plus customers through its "Reduce Your Rate" initiative that offers rate decreases in the middle of customer contracts, for free, via execution of a new contract.
"Offers were extended to more than 800 of its current customers, who were notified of rate decreases in August and will benefit from the same offers if and when market rates decrease in the future," BKV Energy said
"The average price decrease offered was 1.4 cents per kWh, with some customers receiving decrease offers as high as 3.7 cents per kWh," BKV Energy said
"BKV Energy consistently monitors the wholesale market cost of electricity. When wholesale prices drop below the rate at which customers originally signed up for their electricity plans, BKV proactively communicates with them, offering them the opportunity to switch to a cheaper rate in the middle of their current contract," BKV Energy said
"While other retail energy providers rely on the majority of their customers not understanding or reading their electricity contracts, missing many hidden fees and confusing terms, this isn't within BKV Energy's DNA," said Javier Hinojosa, Vice President of Retail Energy at BKV Energy. "It's unheard of for an energy provider to offer their customers lower rates when the market fluctuates; instead, providers reap the benefits while their customers lose. Reduce Your Rate is just one more way we put customers first, saving them money when the market allows."
