The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The New York Department of Public Service revoked the registrations of 31 brokers and/or consultants for alleged failure to pay an annual $500 registration fee
DPS Staff said in a letter that, "The deadline to provide the annual registration fee was August 31, 2025. All companies that were overdue have been notified multiple times and, as of the date of this letter, failed to submit payment."
UBP Section 11.H.2.a.iv provides that an Energy Broker or Energy Consultant is subject to "immediate" revocation of its registration if it fails to provide the required annual registration fee.
The listing of the brokers and/or consultants subject to revocation can be found in DPS Staff's letter here
