Another Lancium Entity Receives Texas REP Certificate
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Texas PUC granted Lancium REP I, LLC an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider certificate
Option 2 REPs are limited to serving customers 1 MW and larger which provide an affidavit agreeing to such service
Lancium REP I, LLC is part of Lancium, which describes itself as an energy technology and infrastructure company, serving hyperscale data center operators and similar customers
As previously reported, the separate entity Lancium QSE I, LLC currently holds an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider certificate
Both of the Lancium entities which hold Option 2 Texas REP certificates would become competitive affiliates of Texas-New Mexico Power Company under a previously reported proposed merger under which Texas-New Mexico Power Company would become an indirect subsidiary of Troy ParentCo LLC and Blackstone Infrastructure, due to the investment and stake in Lancium LLC held by several other Blackstone Inc. funds
