Nstar Files New Basic Service Rates

Nstar (Eversource) in Massachusetts has filed new basic service electricity rates for its western Massachusetts service area (WMA, formerly WMECO), for the period beginning February 1, 2026

All prices below include the currently effective Basic Service Adders, Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard, Clean Energy Standard, and Clean Peak Standard Adders. Nstar has a pending petition to update the Basic Service Cost Adjustment adder, typically granted prior to the start of the February 1, 2026 basic service price period

The filed new WMECO fixed residential basic service rate for the period February 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026, using currently effective adders, is 13.119¢/kWh, versus the current rate of 13.493¢/kWh

The filed new WMECO fixed small C&I basic service rate for the period February 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026, using currently effective adders, is 13.070¢/kWh, versus the current rate of 13.271¢/kWh
