CL&P Residential Default Service Rate To Increase 30%; Small C&I Rate Increasing 23%

Connecticut Light & Power has filed Standard Service rates for the period January 2026 through June 2026, and Last Resort Service Rates for the period January 2026 through March 2026
The January 2026 through June 2026 CL&P (Eversource) residential (Rate 1) Standard Service rate will be 12.641¢/kWh, which is nearly 30% higher than the current rate of 9.748¢/kWh
The January 2026 rates, and all rates below, include the bypassable Federally Mandated Congestion Charge, which will be updated to -0.150¢/kWh effective with the January 2026 default service rates
The CL&P small C&I (Rate 30 & 35) Standard Service rate will be 11.774¢/kWh for January 2026 through June 2026, which is 23% higher than the current rate of 9.556¢/kWh
