The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com

A hearing examiner at the PUC of Ohio suspended the automatic approval process for AEP Ohio's proposed new bill format which, among other things, would inform residential Standard Service Offer customers that AEP Ohio is required to buy generation on behalf of SSO customers and that, "AEP Ohio passes these charges through dollar-for-dollar and makes no money from them".

See a full discussion of the proposed changes here

Bill format changes in Ohio are automatically approved after 45 days unless PUCO directs otherwise.

AEP Ohio had requested that the 45-day automatic approval period be suspended to allow for further dialogue with stakeholders, which may lead to further changes or an amended proposal

The suspension of automatic approval is effective until PUCO determines otherwise.

Case 25-971-EL-UNC, 25-0971-EL-UNC
