Bill Credits To Start Flowing Only To Default Service Customers
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Illinois Attorney General announced that some default service customers at Ameren Illinois will receive on their electric bill beginning in December a one-time credit reflecting proceeds from a previously reported $33 million settlement with Dynegy Marketing and Trade, LLC and Illinois Power Marketing Company, to resolve alleged market manipulation in the 2015/16 MISO capacity auction
The limitation that the share of the settlement for customers at Ameren Illinois would be limited to default service customers had been reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com earlier this year (click here)
Specifically, Ameren Illinois residential and small commercial customers on Basic Generation Service or Real Time Pricing supply rates will receive the one-time credit
The credit received by each customer will be based on their energy usage
