Pennsylvania PUC Preliminarily Selects Resource Adequacy Consultant
The following story is brought free of charge to readers by VertexOne, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
The Pennsylvania PUC today approved a "preliminary selection" of a resource adequacy consultant.
"The goal in seeking a consultant for these services is to ensure the Commission is
working with the most accurate information available as we evaluate the explosive load growth
coming from data centers and other large load customers," said PUC Chair Stephen DeFrank
"I am also focused on managing the
resulting impact on prices for our existing customers and for the system at large," DeFrank said
DeFrank said that today's preliminary selection is merely an initial step to begin contract negotiations
The consultant was not named during the PUC's meeting, nor was a written order issued as of press time
